'Reynisfjara'. Inspired by the black volcanic shores of Iceland. I love the depth and sumptuous richness of the various shades of deep rich blues and and icy iridescent whites and clear crystals that flow through this piece, just like the black beaches of my favourite place.. Iceland. I have poured the layers of resin onto a large slate which along with mica stone chips, gives a terrific impact of the lava black shores of Iceland. I also love the uneven, rugged, rivened edges that the slate gives. Being slate, this also means that this could be hung outside as well.
60 x 60cm.
Seeing just a flat picture of my resin art doesn't do it justice.. So...PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE SHORT VIDEO at the (bottom of the Resin page) SHOWING AN EXAMPLE OF THE TRUE DEPTH AND BEAUTY OF RESIN ART WHEN IT CATCHES THE LIGHT ;-)
Reynisfjara
Set upon a 60x60 cm slate, it is the perfect backdrop for my beloved Icelandic shores pieces. Using deep rich pigments, mica, acrylic nuggets, glass and crystals inlaid into the resin it gives a really cool feel for the glacial, Icelandic volcanic shore lines that I so love.
I can make up any size or shape you desire too, so simply conatct me for any commision piece.
