As well as wall art, I also make functional art.
Like the dappled reflections in a pool of water. These fabulous bespoke decorative plates bring back memories of the summer.. of lazy sunny days by the pool and warm evenings.
A template of 'water ripples' has layers of tinted resin poured into it adding metallic blue shimmer pigments. It is then blowtorched to smooth the surface. During the curing stage, the edges are gently manipulated to form a slightly irregular shape. Once fully cured, the edges are sanded and painted with gold guilding paint resulting in a fabulous piece of functional art that, when seen from different angles, catches the light and colours of rippled, flowing water. A little bit of Summer all year round which will look stunning on any shelf, table or sideboard.
(To clean simply wash with warm soapy water & rinse. Do not place in a dishwasher.)
